Roles available
Please note all roles will be working outside and standing for most, if not all of the shift.

Front of House Assistant

  • You will be the first face of the event as you scan entry tickets for cars and people.

  • You will assist in the movement of people around a busy car park - ensuring they follow set pedestrian routes and arrive to the entrance safely.

  • You will also need to keep a proactive mindset to assess any issues that may arise on the day of the event and report this back to your Manager or Supervisor on the shift.

Trail Steward

  • Act as the eyes and ears of the event so a happy, friendly and festive persona is essential.

  • Stewarding the site to aid guests with queries or directions, acting as a point of contact.

  • You will also need to keep a proactive mindset to assess any issues that may arise on the day of the event and report this back to your Supervisor on the shift.

There are certain requirements we will need all staff to follow: 

  • You will need to be available to work 2+ holiday dates (Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day)

  • You will be available for a minimum of 20 show dates across the run

  • You will be required to be flexible between roles.

  • You will be aged 18 or older due to independent/lone working.

Travel: Festivall do not provide transportation. Staff are responsible for making their own way to and from events.
Please note: limited staff car parking will be available, lift shares are encouraged. There is no access to site by public transport. No accommodation is provided. 

Hourly Pay

£13.50ph (broken down as £12.05 base + £1.45 holiday for PAYE)

There are certain requirements we will need all staff to follow:

There are certain requirements we will need staff to comply with: 

  • You will be required to be flexible for the roles listed above.

  • Due to varied staffing numbers daily, you must be available to work Friday 14th June (full team) and are entitled to at least 1 extra shift on Thursday 13th, Saturday 15th, or Sunday 16th.

  • We will ask you for preferred shifts but these cannot always be guaranteed.

    We’re looking for staff to help build (and take down) Camp Kerala’s luxury glamping set-up on their site neighbouring Glastonbury Festival.

    *Strictly 18+. Do not apply if you are under 18 years of age.*

    Roles available: Event Assistants

    • You will be helping build (and takedown) Camp Kerala’s luxury glamping setup.

    The work will be very physically demanding so good physical health and manual handling experience and/or qualification* is essential.

    Working Weeks: Build 10th - 23rd June | Takedown 1st - 7th July

    • You will be required to be fully available for the dates listed above.

    • You’ll work 6 days a week during the build and 5 days during the takedown. Working days are approx. 10 hours.

    • You will have Monday 24th June - Sunday 30th June off while Camp Kerala’s guests are on-site.

    • Please note, that you will not have access to Glastonbury Festival during this time.

    • You will have one day off per calendar week. These are predicted to be on Sunday 16th June and 23rd June (and Sunday 7th July for takedown)… However, these days may change depending on the weather conditions. A requirement of the role is flexibility when it comes to this, hence the need to be available throughout the full working weeks.

    Location: nr. Glastonbury Festival site

    • You will be working on land neighbouring the festival.

    • There is extremely limited accommodation available to staff on-site. You will therefore be required to find your own accommodation off-site (if you are unable to commute).

    Travel: Festivall do not provide transportation. Staff are responsible for making their own way to and from events.

Event Assistant

  • Act as the eyes and ears of the event, assisting the guests with any queries, directions or needs.

  • You can be the first face of the event whilst ticket scanning, so a happy, friendly and approachable persona is essential.

  • You could be assisting with the set-up and maintenance of the event site including signage, equipment and litter picking.

  • You will also need to keep a proactive mindset to assess any issues that may arise on the day of the event, and report this back to your Supervisor or Manager on the shift. 

There are certain requirements we will need staff to comply with: 

  • All staff will need proof of a valid DBS.

  • You will be required to be flexible between roles.

  • We will ask you for preferred shifts but these cannot always be guaranteed.

Travel: Festivall do not provide transportation. Staff are responsible for making their own way to and from events. Please note: staff car parking will be available.

  • In the event of an accident or any other hold up on the trail, assist in crowd management

Please note: Due to the length of the show, you will be required to work a minimum of 15 shifts. Priority will be given to those who can work 20+ shifts throughout the run.

About The Event
Winter Light Trail

Enlightened Hylands takes place at Hylands Estate, Chelmsford from 24th November to 1st January 2024.
There will be a training session/ press night on 23rd November for those available to attend.

Roles Available
Event Assistants

Role Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to -

  • Welcoming guests as they arrive 

  • Admitting guests entry into the event by scanning their ticket

  • Assisting with customer queries

  • Aid in ensuring an even flow of guests into the venue

  • Reporting issues to the Supervisors and Managers on the ground

Your role will be designated and briefed on-site, and may vary shift to shift.

Please note: Due to the length of the show, you will be required to work a minimum of 15 shifts. Priority will be given to those who can work 20+ shifts throughout the run. 

All staff will be required to work at least one of the following: Christmas Eve, NYE or NYD*

*You will be compensated for these show dates at 1.5x standard rate of pay (£18.49 per hr). 

In line with our welfare policy, staff are unable to work more than 6 consecutive days.

You must be 18 or above to work at this event, please do not apply if you are under 18.

Hourly Pay
£12.33 (£11 + £1.33 holiday pay)

Working Hours
You are guaranteed to be paid for a minimum of five hours per shift. You will get a 15-minute unpaid break per shift, any break time over this will be paid.

Travel
Festivall do not provide transportation. Staff are responsible for making their own way to and from events.

Christmas at Bedgebury takes place at Bedgebury Pinetum on 17th Nov - 31st Dec.

Roles Available
Trail Stewards and Front of House Assistants

Role Descriptions
Responsibilities include but are not limited to -

  • Welcoming guests as they arrive 

  • Admitting guests entry into the event by scanning their ticket

  • Reporting ticket issues to the Supervisors and Managers on the ground

  • Assisting with customer queries

  • Aid in ensuring an even flow of guests into the venue

  • Reporting issues to the Supervisors and Managers on the ground

  • Assisting with the smooth flow of guests through the trail

  • Be a friendly face representing the event

Please note: Due to the length of the show, you will be required to work a minimum of 15 shifts. Priority will be given to those who can work 20+ shifts throughout the run.
